Clinical Use of Cyclosporine-A

Abstract
Since CsA was first identified in the early 1970s by Dr. J. F. Borel and colleagues of Sandoz Ltd. as a compound in the culture broths of the fungi Tolypoclaclium inflatum that showed strong in vivo immunosuppresive activity in mice, a new ara in
immunotherapy for transplantation was begun and increasing interest has been shown in its potenitial in autoimmune diseases, current concepts about the mechanism, indications, pharmacokinetics, side effects and drug interactions are remain to be
solved,
however numerous CsA analogues such as Cyclopsporine-G and SDZ IMM125 are developed recently, which had potent action than CsA but far less nephrotoxic in animal and in vitro studies.
